Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)
Hyperhidrosis Treatment
(Neurotoxin for Sweat Reduction)
Neurotoxins such as Botox® temporarily block the chemical signals that stimulate sweat glands. By interrupting these signals, sweat production in the treated area is significantly reduced while normal sensation and muscle function remain intact. This treatment targets sweat glands directly and does not affect the body’s ability to regulate temperature elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions and helpful information about this treatment.
How effective is neurotoxin treatment for sweating?
Many patients experience a significant reduction in sweating, often 80–90% in treated areas.
Will I stop sweating completely?
The goal is reduction, not complete elimination. Normal sweating elsewhere in the body is unaffected.
Is this the same Botox used for wrinkles?
Yes, the same FDA-approved neurotoxin is used, but it is injected superficially and in a different pattern for sweat reduction.
Will it affect movement or sensation?
When performed correctly, treatment targets sweat glands and does not interfere with normal muscle function.
How often do I need treatment?
Most patients repeat treatment every 4–6 months, depending on response and symptom return.
